About Alano Club West
Alano Club West of San Jose was founded to provide meeting facilities and a supportive atmosphere for people in recovery.
The specific and primary purposes are to:
- Operate a non-profit organization for the purpose of supporting and providing a social and recreational facility for people in recovery.
- Provide facilities for meetings of 12-Step recovery programs.
A Volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership governs the Club. As an organization, we are not affiliated with any other organization. We hold no political or religious views. We do not endorse or oppose any one. We are organized for the sole purpose of recovery. We are self supporting on an operating basis.

Regrettably, effective August 1st, there will no longer be meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous held at the facility on Dell Avenue. The Saturday 10:00 AM Think Tank Men's Meeting will be held at the Alano Club of San Jose on Fair Avenue until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience. Check with Central Office later next week to determine where other meetings formerly held at Dell Avenue will be held, or check back on our website for updates.

Freeway Directions
From Hwy 17 take the San Tomas Expwy (Camden Ave.) exit West and immediately exit into Dell Ave on the right. Alternatively, you can take the Winchester South exit from San Tomas Expwy, then turn left on Hacienda and Right on Dell Ave. If you are coming from the South, you can exit Hwy 17 North at the Lark Ave West exit, head North on Winchester Blvd, then right on Hacienda and right on Dell Ave.
From San Tomas Expwy - take the Winchester South exit.
From Hwy 85 - Take the 17 North to San Tomas West to Winchester North (or) 17 South to Lark East to Winchester North.
Municipal Bus Connections
The #48 and #60 buses stop at the corner of Hacienda and Winchester Avenues taveling South, and stop at Walnut and Hacienda traveling North.
Light Rail Connections
Get off at the Winchester Station (End of Line) between Camden and Budd on Winchester. Walk (Bike) South on Winchester Avenue approximately 1 mile, turn left on East Hacienda and right on Dell Avenue. You could alternately catch the #48 or #60 bus lines going South getting off at Wincester and Hacienda.
